Our estimates are always free and no appointment is necessary. We have 3 full-time estimators on staff to keep your wait to a minimum. If your car is drivable we can work around your schedule. Call ahead or drop off your vehicle when it is convenient for you and we’ll take care of the estimate and send the information along with documenting photos to your insurance company. If you want to wait for your estimate the entire process should only take about 20 minutes for a simple repair.

Gone are the days of multiple estimates! CARSTAR, Ottawa is a preferred shop for most major insurance companies (and many others) and is certified to act as your adjustor for your repairs. If your insurance company asks you for more than one estimate it may be because the repair facility you have chosen is not a preferred shop. Coming to CARSTAR, Ottawa can save you time and inconvenience. CARSTAR has the training and tools required to make the most accurate assessment available for your repairs.

Estimates may not reflect the final cost of your repairs. Here at CARSTAR, Ottawa we are trained to write only the actual damages that we can see. Adding parts or repair time to damages that cannot be seen are simply a “guesstimate”. While more parts and repairs may be likely, it is best to wait to see the actual damage. Insurance companies are aware that there may be supplement request from us as we progress on your repairs. There are procedures already in place for this event. While another shop may have to stop and wait for an adjuster to come and assess the need for more work or parts, here at CARSTAR, we are able to continue most repairs without interruption.
